Introduction
On the Details/Main tab of the Property BoxThe Property Box is the primary window for data entry and for viewing details of stored records. It is used with records of all types. Dialogue Burials are shown, but Cremations are not.
Add the Cremation event
To enter a Cremation and lots of other types of Event, you need to use the Events/Facts tab of the Property Box Dialogue. In fact, as you progress with Family Historian (ƒh), you will increasingly use the Events/Facts tab rather than the Details/Main tab for Event and Attribute information, as it allows many additional fields to be entered, and in the case of AttributesEvents are things that happened to an Individual and Attributes are things that described them. like OccupationAn occupation is defined in the GEDCOM standard as: ‘The kind of activity that an individual does for a job, profession, or principal activity’. allows multiple occurrences to be entered.
Click on the Add Event/Attribute/Fact button at the left-hand end of the lower toolbar, and you will find Cremation in the standard Event/Attribute List. Click the Add button and enter your data into the DateWhen an Event happened, or an Attrribute was true., PlaceAccording to GEDCOM, a Place should hold "The jurisdictional name of the place where the event took place…" , and other fields at the bottom of the Events/Facts tab.
