Acrobat Reader is a program that views and prints information in its original format even if a copy of the original program that created the information is not available. Acrobat Reader can be a stand-alone program or plug-in to a Web browser. It is a free program that reads files with a PDF extension and can be downloaded from Adobe. Also known as Adobe Reader.

The Adobe Acrobat Reader is sometimes shipped on the Family Historian CD.
