This site is about families named FIRTH who in the 19th century were living in Northen England — primarily Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire, plus a few elsewhere. A handful of them are my ancestors, but the other several thousand are not directly related; they just happen to share the same surname. You’ll also find a great many FRITHs here; the two names are so commonly mis-transcribed that it’s almost impossible to research them independently.
