The most likely cause for a missing dialog is that previously you have had different screen resolutions, or used multiple screens in a different configuration, and the dialog is being shown off the visual screen area.
The simplest way to correct the problem is to reset all dialogs to the default location.
Calico PieCalico Pie Limited is a UK software house, and the publishers of Family Historian. have a small script file which can be downloaded and run to reset all the window settings.
Do the following:
- Close Family Historian and double check that there are no other instances of Family Historian running.
- Download https://support.calico-pie.com/downloads/fhResetWinPos.bat
- Open Windows File Explorer for your Downloads folder
- Right click on fhResetWinPos.bat (you might not see the .bat depending on your settings, and select “Run as Administrator”
- Follow the on screen instructions.
- Now reload Family Historian and check the dialog you were having issues with.
