Working with associations might be easier if there would be an option which auto-creates a reverting association. starting point 0 @I1@ INDI 0 @I2@ INDI if turning I1 into 0 @I1@ INDI 1 ASSO @I2@ 2 RELA witness then I2 should turned into 0 @I2@ INDI 1 ASSO @I1@ with no RELA data since that could differ. teacher <-> student association against neighbour <-> neighbour association Also related to that one would be the ability to have a diagram view which simply shows a selected individual together with all it's associated people. Mainly since FH allows working from within the diagram against most other programs where one must work at text-level-views. Perhaps this would make the above auto-creation of reverse associations obsolete since if one is able to have 1-way-associated people in the diagram one could easily reach them to add the reverting association. WL#407 - merged in I would like to have the option to add a tab for 'associated persons' to the Focus Window (to the right of the descendants tab). It would be useful to have a simple table with the individual's name, record ID, and association to the focus person: name 1 'best man' name 2 'landlord' name 3 'business partner' name 4 'lodger' name 5 'servant' etc. WL#408 - merged in The pools show all people who are related by blood or marriage. It could also include all people who are related by being family friends, witnesses, servants, lodgers, etc. It should be an optional feature of the pool function. |
