Controlling display of Boxes on Diagrams
This relates to Family Historian Version 3 and above.
These tutorials are for Family Historian Version 3 on Windows XP, but despite slightly different layout and colours, some concepts are still valid for later versions.
Using Mark and Hide in Diagrams
In this first tutorial as of Version 3.1 you can use the Flag directly rather than creating a Custom Query, by using the Has Flag standard Query and selecting the Flag of your choice.
Using Lists to Mark a Diagram
In this second tutorial as of Version 3.1 you can use the Named List directly rather than creating a Custom Query, by using the Named List Members standard Query and selecting the Named List of your choice.
Change box where no children
The following expression, checks if either the Family or the Individual Child count is zero to allow the box colour or other setting to be changed.
=IsTrue(IsTrue(Exists(%INDI.NCHI%) and %INDI.NCHI% = 0) or IsTrue(Exists(%CUR~FAMS>NCHI%) and %CUR~FAMS>NCHI% = 0))
