The sub-folders hold such items as Custom &amp; Standard Diagram Types (FHD), Fact Sets (FHF), Queries (FHQ), Reports (FHR), Text Schemes (FHT), etc. Depending on your operating system and specific configuration, this folder is usually found in one of the following locations:<\/p>\n<table class=\" alignleft\" style=\"border-collapse: collapse;width: 100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 40%;vertical-align: top\">Windows 2000 &amp; Windows XP:<\/td>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top\"><em>C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\Calico Pie\\Family Historian\\<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 40%;vertical-align: top\">Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 &amp; 10:<\/td>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top\"><em>C:\\ProgramData\\Calico Pie\\Family Historian\\<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 40%;vertical-align: top\">Windows Vista\/7\/8\/10 in Crossover\/Wine on Mac\/Linux:<\/td>\n<td style=\"vertical-align: top\">Varies depending on the specific operating system and configuration.<\/p>\n<p>In Crossover, it is typically <em>C:\\Users\\Public\\Application Data\\Calico Pie\\Family Historian\\<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In PlayOnLinux \/ PlayOnMac, it is usually <em>C:\\ProgramData\\Calico Pie\\Family Historian\\<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In Linux, it may be nested inside a native folder such as <em>\/home\/USER\/.PlayOnLinux\/wineprefix\/COMPUTERNAME\/drive_c\/<\/em>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>Notes<\/h2>\n<p>In the above folder definitions, C: is the drive where Windows is most commonly installed. It may be a different drive letter on some computers.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t see this data folder, it may be hidden, so you will need to adjust some settings. A Google search for &#8220;Show hidden folders&#8221; in Windows together with your version of Windows, will list tutorials illustrating alternative methods as summarised below:<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 18.2px\">Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>open Windows Explorer (Windows key + E) and choose the Tools \u2192 Folder options menu, or Organize \u2192 Folders and search options menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select the View tab.<\/li>\n<li>In Advanced settings, ensure that Hidden files and folders is set to Show hidden files, folders and drives.<\/li>\n<li>While there, it is advisable to untick Hide extensions for known file types so that the entire filename and extension is always shown. The same dialogue can be reached via Start \u2192 Control Panel \u2192 (Appearance and Themes \u2192) Folder Options \u2192 View.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Windows 8, 8.1, 10: <\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>From the Start screen, click the Windows\/File Explorer tile or from the Desktop, open File Explorer or This PC (Windows key + E).<\/li>\n<li>Select the View tab and tick the box Hidden Items in the ribbon.<\/li>\n<li>While there it is advisable to tick File Name Extensions so that the entire filename and extension is always shown.
