It would be a pain to edit each entry. In this case, if you feel confident, use a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/link-type\/plain-text-editors\/\">plain text editor<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For example, this is part of the census entry for Gustav Holst in the 1901 Census on Ancestry:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">Name: Gustavus T Von Holst\r\nAge: 26\r\nEstimated Birth Year: abt 1875\r\nRelation: Visitor\r\nGender: Male\r\nWhere born: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England\r\nCivil Parish: St John and St Margaret\r\nEcclesiastical parish: St John\r\nCounty\/Island: London\r\nCountry: England\r\nStreet address:\r\nOccupation:\r\nCondition as to marriage:<\/pre>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Should you for instance want to replace &#8220;Street address:&#8221; in the editor the following should be fine.Edit<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"procedure\">Procedure<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Only do this if you are confident regarding editing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Save and backup your GEDCOM file.<\/li>\r\n<li>Open the GEDCOM file in the plain text editor.<\/li>\r\n<li>Remove all instances of the redundant data using the editors commands &#8211; hopefully there will be a &#8216;replace all&#8217; option.<\/li>\r\n<li>Save GEDCOM file and Open in\u00a0FH.
