Introduction<\/h2>\n

These videos show how to add a Census entry, and each one summarises its associated scripted tutorial, which provides more explanation and references. (See the\u00a0Enter Census Information\u00a0<\/a>tutorial scripts).<\/p>\n

They are based on very old versions of Ancestral Sources and Family Historian, so do not include some of the features that are now available such as templated sources and rich-text. Videos that refer to those new features are available on the Ancestral Sources Videos<\/a> page. However, the fundamental concepts of capturing the data are still reasonably relevant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The total running time for this entire series of videos is about\u00a018 minutes.<\/p>\n

This is not representative of the time needed to enter a Census record, because it includes configuring initial settings, setting once only Options and Repository details, as well as examining Family Historian, and restoring original settings. A more realistic time would be less than 9 minutes.<\/p>\n
