It is accessed via:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#!\" class=\"cs_tooltip\" fhugtt=\"This is the menu across the top of the main Family Historian windows. The &gt; denotes a submenu\">Edit&nbsp&gt;&nbspFind&nbspRecord<\/a><\/li>\n<li>or the <em>Find<\/em> button on the main toolbar <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"cs_v alignnone lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/helpv6\/toolbar_main_13.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"35\" height=\"31\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 35px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 35\/31;\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can choose the record type to search (or All Record Types) and whether to search in Names, Titles, Notes or All Text Fields; Use <em>Find First<\/em> to move to the first record found and then <em>Find Next <\/em>to move to each subsequent record in turn. <a href=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/kb-article\/family-historian-documentation\/\">Getting the Most from Family Historian V5<\/a> has more on this feature (Chapter 7, page 73).<\/p>\n<h4>Quick Search<\/h4>\n<p>In the Individual<em> Record Window<\/em>, you can enter all or part of an Individual&#8217;s name in the <em>Name<\/em> field at the top of the window to find the first record that contains the relevant text.
