For example, if you have linked multiple individuals to a Census Household schedule, or a Passenger List, you may wish to identify the people who were together at the time.<\/p>\n<h2>Version 7 and later versions<\/h2>\n<p>Select the Source record in the main <em>Records Window<\/em> list under the <em class=\"text-italics\">Sources<\/em> tab and use the <a href=\"#!\" class=\"cs_tooltip\" fhugtt=\"This is the menu across the top of the main Family Historian windows. The &gt; denotes a submenu\">View&nbsp&gt;&nbspCitations&nbspto&nbspSource&nbspRecord\u2026<\/a> command.<\/p>\n<p>Open the Source record Property Box and use the cog <em>Menu &gt; Show Source Record\u2019s Citations in Result Window<\/em> option.<\/p>\n<h2>Version 6 and later versions ~ Find Search<\/h2>\n<p>If you use <a href=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/kb-article\/citing-sources-method-1-and-method-2\/\">Method 2 (Lumper)<\/a> sources, you may wish to see everything that links to a particular Source with a particular <em>Where within Source<\/em> value (for example, you may wish to find everyone what was in a particular household or on the same page of a census schedule. (This approach does rely on you using the same value for <em>Where within Sourc<\/em>e for all individuals in the same household or on the same page).<\/p>\n<p>Use <a href=\"#!\" class=\"cs_tooltip\" fhugtt=\"This is the menu across the top of the main Family Historian windows. The &gt; denotes a submenu\">Edit&nbsp&gt;&nbspFind&#8230;<\/a>.\u00a0 Enter the <em>Where within Source<\/em> value you wish to find in <em>Search for:.<\/em> In\u00a0<em>Look in<\/em> deselect everything except <em>Other Fields.<\/em> Click the\u00a0<em>Find Now <\/em>button. You will find it easier to view the results if you next click the\u00a0<em>Display Results in Results Window<\/em> button.<\/p>\n<h2>Version 5 and later versions ~ Plugins<\/h2>\n<p>Since <span class=\"fh\" style=\"font-size: 17px !important; line-height: 21.4286px !important;\">\u0192<span style=\"color:#73B262; font-weight: bold;\">h<\/span><\/span> V5, Plugins are available that have a couple of advantages over other options, as they show every item (Event, Attribute, Name, Record, etc) that the Source is linked to, and double clicking on any cell in the Results Set window will take you directly to that item in the Property Box. Right-click on a cell for other display options.<\/p>\n<p>Two relevant Plugins are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pluginstore.family-historian.co.uk\/page\/plugin\/list-all-citations-for-a-selected-source\">List All Citations for a Selected Source<\/a> for one Source at a time.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pluginstore.family-historian.co.uk\/page\/plugin\/where-used-record-links\">Where Used Record Links<\/a> that works for multiple selections of any other record type as well as Source records. If you use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/kb-article\/citing-sources-method-1-and-method-2\/\">Method 2 (Lumper)<\/a> sources, you can sort by <em>Where within Source<\/em> citation values and it allows minor inconsistencies to be spotted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Version 4 and later versions<\/h2>\n<div class=\"gca-column one-fourth first\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/fhug.org.uk\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Screenshot-2020-06-29-17.36.36-300x222.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/222;\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"gca-column three-fourths\"><ul>\n<li>Select the Source record in the main <em>Records Window<\/em> list under the <em>Sources<\/em> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Use <a href=\"#!\" class=\"cs_tooltip\" fhugtt=\"This is the menu across the top of the main Family Historian windows. The &gt; denotes a submenu\">View&nbsp&gt;&nbspRecord&nbspLinks&#8230;<\/a>. The <em>Record Links<\/em> window will appear showing all Individuals with Citations linked to the selected Source.<\/li>\n<li>In the example shown, this Source (for a Census record) has citations linking to 5 people who all appeared in the census household that the source refers to. You will see that the individuals each have multiple links.
