If I go to View/Other Records/Places, is there a way to select a particular Place and somehow view the Record/Fact that has that Place recorded?
I'm asking because I occasionally find a fact has a certain Place that I remember from somewhere and want to see where it appears elsewhere in FH. (eg a common marriage Church).
Actually, it would also be really useful to have the above capability to view the 'Address' field entries for all records and to likewise backtrack to see what records used that Address. (fair to say I haven't got into Queries yet).
I'm a little bit confused as to the best place to put these sort of details - eg where someone lived at their death and where they were buried - which is Place and which is Address? I feel I'm probably not consistent in how I use Place and Address. What is best practice?
Thanks.

Re: Find records for certain Places?
Use Tools > Work with Data > Places. Select the place from the list and then click Where Used on the right. In the Results set you can click on the Place name and the Property Box will open with the focus on the fact where it is used. Similarly you can do the same with Tools > Work with Data > Addresses.is there a way to select a particular Place and somehow view the Record/Fact that has that Place recorded?
There are various approaches which are described in this article in the Knowledge Base: Working with Places and AddressesI feel I'm probably not consistent in how I use Place and Address. What is best practice?
As you will see, there are pros and cons of different methods but there is no fixed 'best practice' other than being consistent!

Perfect Lorna, thanks.
I've checked out your suggestions and it's just what I needed. I'll have a look at your link too.
