Hi. I have exported from TMG v8 to FH7 using all the recommended settings and I am really liking it so far. I have played around with some customisations, watched some videos etc.
It all looks good and I will probably make the switch to the full version, however, I used an external folder for exhibits with TMG and I wanted to keep that same structure, but all my exhibits are in the media folder of the FH7 project. How do I get FH7 to only use my external folder structure. I am happy with my back up routine so don't need them backing up in FH7 and I hate that they are all lumped in one folder.

Re: Importing from TMG v8 - Confused by exhibits structure
Welcome to the FHUG Ben.
When importing from TMG the option to import Media to the internal Project media folder is ticked by default.
Try the direct import again but watch out for that option and untick it to keep the Media in its current folders.
The option is at the bottom of the very first dialogue where you choose the TMG .pjc file.

Excellent. Thanks for that, I shall re-import. I'm assuming there is no way to do this post import?

Re: Importing from TMG v8 - Confused by exhibits structure
It could be done post import but it is probably quicker to re-import.
You would need to start by deleting the contents of the FH Media folder so that all the links are broken, and then use Tools > External File Links > Auto Repair Links. FH would then search for the file names and would find them in your external folder structure. This is from the FH Help file:
By the way, it is possible to use your preferred folder structure within the FH Media folder if you wish. It’s just that by default the import lumps them all together without any sub-folders.This button will prompt Family Historian to attempt to find missing media files and fix any 'broken' links. This can be a slow process, but a progress dialog is displayed so you can stop the search at any time if you wish. The search will begin with the current project folder, and ripple outwards from the current project, eventually including other fixed drives on your PC if necessary (and if there are any). The search will stop automatically when all missing files are found.
