Census templates for "missing" Canadian census years

Post by Gary_G »

The following is an image showing the available census years for Canada.

I notice that the current A.S. does not have templates for:
1825 (Lower Canada)
1831 (Lower Canada)
1842 (Canada East)
1842 (Canada West)
1870 (Manitoba)
1926 (Prairies)

Has anyone developed A.S. input templates for them?
If so; where can one obtain them?

Normally any Census templates that users have developed and made available to the rest of us, can be found here https://www.fhug.org.uk/kb/download-typ ... l-sources/

Thanks for responding, Brent. I tried there before posting.
It looks like Nick has included many previous submissions in the current A.S.
However; the years I noted in my were not present in A.S. or in the downloads area.
I thought I'd ask if someone had made their own, before duplicating that work.

Haven't heard back from anyone who has already developed the missing templates, so I created my own "Canada census - 1926 (Prairies)" Ancestral Sources template that is form/fit/function compatible with those existing in the A.S. as-shipped set. I've submitted a request to post my template and am awaiting a request to upload it. If things go well, I will do the same for the remaining missing years of the Canadian census set; as I get to that point in my data-entry.
