Narrative query
Regarding the built-in "She and <person> had the following children" sentence which introduces the family's offspring in narrative reports, is it possible to access the sentence code to amend it? Currently, it attaches itself to the last fact sentence and the only way I have been able to change that is to introduce white space (<para>), individually, to whichever fact that may be for that person. Also, I would find it preferable to have both parents' names in full. Being able to adjust the sentence would be a great asset.

Re: Narrative query
I don’t think it is possible to access that sentence code directly, and I agree the layout is not ideal.
If you change the Report Options to exclude Spouse Event/Attributes the sentence does behave as you want, i.e. it starts a new paragraph, and both names are given in full.
However if you want the narrative report to include the spouse’s events the only way to force a new paragraph, as you have found, is to add <para> to the end of the sentence for the last spouse fact. The use of ‘he’ or ‘she’ in place of the name is an example of FH being clever (too clever, in this case) and substituting a pronoun in place of the name in some contexts, to make a narrative seem more natural.

Re: Narrative query
The only other option is it might be possible to adjust the wording by using a custom Language Pack to 'translate' some words in the report, but that is an advanced technique.
