Combined KB and Forum Search

Post by tatewise »

I've a problem with the useful combined Knowledge Base and Forum search feature for some recent posts.

It does not seem to find postings in the fairly new sub-forums.
i.e.
General Usage > Subject Specific Questions > Diagrams & Charts and Exporting etc, etc.
New Wish List Requests > Closed Wish List Requests and Wish List Requests on Hold

But Plugin Technical Support & Development > Programming Technicalities seems to be OK.

Sorry, I was wrong about the Closed Wish List Requests forum that you happen to have chosen. It is OK.

I have not tried each one but Wish List Requests on Hold, Diagrams & Charts, Exporting, Media, Research Planning, and Sources, Citations & Repositories certainly do not work for any postings I've tried.

Thank you. That is a lot better but still not quite perfect.

It does not list Task List (22626) from the Research Planning sub-forum as being in year 2024.
It lists that posting if no year is selected but not if any year is ticked. 2024 is not an option.
But that is the only oddity I found.

All the other sub-forums seem OK for the entries I tested but cannot test them all

Unfortunately reindexing again will occur a large cost so as long as they are indexed I am inclined to leave as is.

They were actually indexed correctly. The refinement list was limited by default to 10 values and 'task list' matched on 11 years in the forum.
