I was going to look into this, but the link to the App Store comes up with 'not available'. A quick google doesn't tell me much, but I can find a few references only mentioning an android version, so it looks to me like it's been dropped on iOS

Tony, FHUG KB GedExplorer links to https://www.sundin.nu/gedexplorer/ which has a link for Apple Store.
Maybe your (old?) version of iOS is not supported by the current GEDexplorer version.

Brand new iPad, so don't think that's the case. I went from that link. Happy to be proved wrong!

I don't have an Apple iOS device so cannot check. Can somebody else investigate please.

Maybe GEDexplorer has not been updated for the latest iOS?

It comes up for me in the App Store as 'Not available in your region'. This sometimes means that the author does not wish to comply with GDPR and so does not make it available outside the US. If that is the case with this app I would look at one of the alternatives.

Just for interest I tried to get the Android version of GEDexplorer and it comes up as being "not available to your device because it was made for an older version of Android". I guess that the same might apply to iOS.

Same problem here. I was recommended GEDexplorer but a search in the App Store (current iPhone, latest iOS) brings up a 'No Results' screen. Possibly because this app is too old for modern iPhones or because it's been retired by the devs.

GedView, on the other hand, works fine.

Mike,
I've just followed the link and then clicked the IOS icon on my iPhone, and the Apple store says the App is not available. It doesn't come up in a search of the store from the iPhone Apple Store.
