Double entry of an Individual
I am relatively new to Family Historian and recently transferred my tree from Family Tree Maker via Gedcom and I notice that one particular individual has a number of entries in FH. In addition to three entries, that are required, because he had three different wives, there are two additional listings of his name but with no spouse which are not required. I have tried deleting one of the blank entries but in doing so that deletes the complete record. Is it possible to delete just the extra entries without affecting to correct ones? I am using FH with Window 10.
Re: Double entry of an Individual
Are you talking about his appearances in the focus window?
He is shown as many times as he has marriages, but if he is shown more than he should, go to the All tab on his property box. You will see his marriages listed, with an indication of who the spouse was for each marriage.
In this particular case, you should see 2 additional entries, with no spouse shown. Delete these two bogus marriage entries, and all should be well.

Re: Double entry of an Individual
Gowermick's advice is sound, but before you delete anything please investigate further, especially as you are a newcomer.
The multiple entries you are seeing may not be duplicate records, but simply the same person in different roles.
Take a look at the Family Historian Sample Project as advised in how_to:key_features_for_newcomers|> Key Features for Newcomers.
The father of file root Ian Stephen MUNRO, who is Anthony Edward MUNRO will appear twice in the Focus Window with his two wives. If you bring his second wife Susan Isabel DOWLING into focus she is listed twice with her two husbands. In each case there is a Spouse tab in the Property Box for each spouse.
If you have enabled the Record Id option you will see that each 'duplicate' has the same Record Id.
If you check the Records Window you will see each 'duplicate' has only one record.
Any such multiple spouse entries would have existed in FTM prior to migration to FH.
If you are still unsure, then perhaps you could post a screenshot of your problem.
See info:forums#posting_topics|> Posting Topics for how to do that.

Re: Double entry of an Individual
Thanks tatewise I looked at what you said but found it was just a simple triple entry - probably a caused by a mistake I had made when using FTM. I used Gowermick's suggestion and it worked fine.
