I moved my data from TMG which accepts multiple facts and allows you to make one primary. I have read the discussions, Primary birth fact (15320), etc. and understand the concept in FH doesn't exist. I like the idea of creating a Birth-Alt fact/event, which I have done.
My question is how can I create a query to find the individuals who have more than 1 birth record etc.

Just use the filter option to Exclude records where a 2nd index does not exist.
I have attached a sample for Births.
Remember when you do marriages to use a Family Query and not an individual one.

Josie, to change those 95 Individual record's multiple Birth Events to Birth-Alt custom facts I suggest you use the Change Any Fact Tag Plugin.
It is quite tricky to change those facts by hand one by one. You would have to add the Birth-Alt fact, then copy each field (Date, Place, Address, Citations, etc) one by one from Birth Event to Birth-Alt fact, and finally delete the Birth Event.
Whereas with the Plugin you can select the 95 Individual records, choose the Source Tag as Birth and Target Tag as Custom and Birth-Alt fact. Then selectively confirm each change so you can skip the primary Birth Events.
When you have examined the Plugin ask for more detailed advice if necessary.
