Post by sedoran20@aol.com »

I have entered a fact, with a postcode showing Universtiy of Bangor, Wales, but it shows on the map as Bangor N Ireland. What am I doing wrong?

When I use University of Bangor, Wales LL57 2DG in the Place field it maps to Bangor in North Wales.
BTW: In your posting Universtiy is spelt wrongly.

What exactly are you entering where?
Place field, Address field, and how are you invoking the mapping?

Thank you for that. I had spelt university correctly(!) but did it as Bangor University rather than University of Bangor. I also put the post code in the address, rather than the place. Following your advice it has come up in the right Bangor now.

Yes, it seem a little fussy.
Both Bangor University, Wales or Bangor on its own and no postcode plot in Northern Ireland.
But adding postcode LL57 2DG to them, or using Bangor, Wales or University of Bangor, Wales plots correctly in Wales.
