* Error message on Export GEDCOM

Importing from another genealogy program? This is the place to ask. Questions about Exporting should go in the Exporting sub-forum of the General Usage forum.

Error message on Export GEDCOM

Post by sheepdip11 »

Am now getting an error message when I Export GEDCOM to my Projects located in Dropbox. The error message occurs using either options: (ANC) Ancestry or (Std) Standard GEDCOM 5.5. (I also export to TNG but haven't tried that yet).
I have two Fam Hist Project trees and the same Error Message appears exporting from either family.
Have checked the Tools tips on the Plug-in Help & Advice.
Am using FH version 6.2.7 and Export GEDCOM version: 19 Sep 2019.

Here is the Error Message:

[string "C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\..."]:3736: bad argument #1 to 'ipairs' (table expected, got nil)
stack traceback:

Hope this means something to somebody.

Sorry about that Peter. Silly mistake on my part.
The attached Export Gedcom File Version 3.8.1 Date 21 Sep 2019 ZIP file fixes the problem.
After downloading, right-click the .zip file and choose Extract All to obtain the .fh_lua file, which when double-clicked will install the Plugin into FH.
[ EDIT: Attachment deleted as now in Plugin Store. ]

Extracted your latest version.
Export GEDCOMs have completed sucessfully from both family projects - and in the TNG format.

Phew! Thanks Mike.

Welcome to the FHUG.

Yes, the problem was fixed and updated to V3.9 in the Plugin Store in September.
