Yes. What problem are you having with it?

Helen, don't you mean No it is not disabled?
As far as we are aware the 30-Day Trial Version is IDENTICAL to a licenced version except that Plugins are not supported and it stops working after 30 days.
How is this related to Last record used on exit - first record opening on restart (14307) when you trialled FH years ago?

It is not related.tatewise wrote: How is this related to Last record used on exit - first record opening on restart (14307) when you trialled FH years ago?
I have tried changing font in the MUNRO sample supplied in FH and my own first few transfers but while I can fiddle around with surnames in UPPER and lower case and switch around date formats the font is fixed at Tahoma despite what alternative I have selected.

Remember there are MANY places in preferences which change the fonts for different areas of the program.
Exactly which area of the program are you trying to change?

Tools > Preferences > Display > Default Font only affects the Records Window.
Tools > Preferences > Focus Window > Fonts only affects the Focus Window.
Tools > Preferences > Property Box > Fonts only affects the Property Box.
Similarly for the Map Window and Query Window.
Reports and Diagrams have their own Options for fonts.

Re: Font Resizing in Trial Version
At the time of asking my question I was reading through the QUICK TOUR while comparing the various images in there to the program. The font size in the FOCUS WINDOW is uncomfortably small for me. Searching for possible variations took me to DISPLAY which raised my question and FOCUS WINDOW which produced nothing but I now see that I was not placing the pointer in correct place to open EDIT access.Jane wrote:Remember there are MANY places in preferences which change the fonts for different areas of the program.

So Catch-22. Need to increase font to read but won't know how to change until I read. If I cannot get a comfortable font size there is no point in continuing the appraisal.

What version of Windows are you running?
If you look for the Magnifier in your Windows start (it is under Ease of Access) that might help you temporarily magnify the interface to let you set a font you can use.

My relation who has impaired vision, takes a photo on her mobile phone/tablet, and zooms in to enlarge.
Once a larger font and alternative colours are chosen, then all should be OK.
See how_to:v4:focus_window#changing_the_colours_on_the_focus_window|> Changing the Colours on the Focus Window.

I appreciate suggestions about magnifier etc but what I was seeking is provided in these to make all font a minimum 16 without apparently causing any distortions. So on with the reading.

The magnifier, et al, suggestions were to allow you to find the Font settings initially.
