I have created a query to list all marriages in a specific location (Warrington), which seems to work quite well, Except for the rogue entry in the result set
George Hatton, is listed, with a marriage place of Toxteth, despite his marriage record being empty.
(His marriage is deduced from from census and GRO Registration of children, so may not have taken place)
His wife's first marriage took place in Toxteth, but why is this showing against George?
the data reference is as follows:
%INDI.~SPOU[1]>FAMS[1]>MARR[1].PLAC:SHORT%
Which to me, seems to indicate place of First Marriage of First Spouse (hence Toxteth), but how can I change this to refer to place of George's first marriage?

Re: Weird Results in Query
Yes, %INDI.~SPOU[1]>FAMS[1]>MARR[1].PLAC:SHORT% refers to his 1st Wife's 1st Family record.
Use %INDI.FAMS[1]>MARR[1].PLAC:SHORT% to obtain his 1st Family record.
Use %INDI.FAMS[2]>MARR[1].PLAC:SHORT% to obtain the 2nd Family record, and so on for largest partnerships in your data.
But this technique needs a Column per Family instance.
That is all based on an Individual Query but may be much easier using a Fact Query with a Marriage Label filter.
See fhugdownloads:contents:query_all_facts_filter_by_date_label_or_text|> Query:Fact ~ All Facts Filter by Date, Label, or Text for guidance.
