* Query for source note

Hi,

I've recently had a computer failure so I'm now having to re-do a lot of my settings.
I previously had a customised column in the records window which run from the Query. (for Probate Value)
The problem is, I'm trying to find the exact Source note field so I can re-run this query.
See the screen shot to show where I put the data.

I'd be grateful if you can advise the quote field record to chose.

My event is Probate.

Mike, when you have recovered your settings do use the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings Plugin.
Then save its backup settings to external media the same way you save your Project Backups to external media.

I assume you are talking about the Individuals tab of the Records Window?
The column Expression you need is:
%INDI.PROB[1].SOUR[1]>NOTE2[1]%

That could be obtained by clicking the <<Insert Data Ref... button and choosing:
Individual > Events > Probate > Source> > Note ( not (Note) )

Yes. The query type is 'Individual'.

Sadly, there was no way back for the hard drive, the MS tool wasn't able to repair the problem, so I've lost some data and settings. A harsh lesson.

I was a bit lost. I'm guessing this is the Field window in the Column Tab.
The difference you get is
%INDI.PROB[1].SOUR[1]>NOTE2[1]% (your expression)
and
%INDI.PROB[1].SOUR[1].NOTE2[1]% (insert ref)

The '>' and '.' is the only difference in the string and the '>' works -

I'm no techy i'm afraid.

You may not be techy, but you do know that Source records are separate from Individual records.
You should also know that in Data References the > symbol indicates the linkage between records.
So Source> indicates a linked Source record and produces the SOUR[1]> component.
A Source Note that produces SOUR[1] is something local to the Individual record.
