Simple descendant chart
Is there some way to print a simple descendant chart similar to the screen shot? Simple text, no boxes, that I can print, say, 3 generations on an A4 page.
I feel sure that I did once find a way, but can't find it or a forum link for the life of me!

Yes, but you need to adjust the Print > Options > Main tab, Indivdual & Family Events/Attributes for List Only and Edit List... to remove all the facts.

Thank-you so much. I felt as if I had gone through all the options, but I knew it was there somewhere! I find this sort of thing very useful to print off when going to research, or to check I have followed all lines.

Re: Simple descendant chart
Following these directions, I can get a 'simple' descent chart, but without the lines linking generations. How do you get these included, or is it no longer possible in the current version of FH?

Those lines have been removed in the FH V7 report. I think it was for technical reasons.
I have moved this thread to the Reports, Books & Websites forum which seems more appropriate.

Re: Simple descendant chart
That style of chart (with lines) was available on V. 6.. I still have the installation file for V 6. Is it possible to run both V6 and V 7 on the one computer. That way I could save a GEDCOM file from V7, run it on V6 and get outline charts. This would be v. useful, as these are the charts I mostly use. At the moment I do this by converting via GEDCOM to The Master Genealogist, which still does this type of chart. When I tried installing V6 it over-wrote V7. Is there some way of circumventing this so that they are both available?
Thanks
Thanks

Afraid not unless you can run up a virtual machine.Pblackwood wrote: ↑05 Sep 2024 07:42 That style of chart (with lines) was available on V. 6.. I still have the installation file for V 6. Re: Simple descendant chart
I hope you didn't run FH V6 on any Projects as it will corrupt them and need to be recovered from FH V7 backups.
Your licence now only applies to FH V7 and it would infringe the licence to install FH V6 at the same time.
