Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
If it happens every week, check they are coming to the same address, I know a few people may have two accounts. It does occasionally glitch, but it seems to be an issue on the Amazon end so I am not able to tell why.

Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
I have been receiving the FHUG discussion topics on a weekly basis but on 19th July I did not receive one at all?

Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
As Lorna says this issue has been discussed previously - and much longer ago than five weeks.
I have been experiencing the problem on and off for quite a while. Since the beginning of the year everything has worked fine, but in the last couple of months I have had duplicate copies at least three times. However, today I have only received a single copy.
So, it seems to be a random occurrence, both in timing and in the accounts affected. I suspect it is occurring a lot more frequently than is reported, as I presume a lot of people, like me, treat it as a minor irritation and would not bother to report it, especially if they have read previous threads on the topic.
The only question I would ask is, how do Amazon quotas work - are these duplicated messages incurring additional charges?

A quick Add-on to my last post,
I have just checked my inbox and found that, like Uppedsticks, I didn't receive one last week (19th July)

Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
I have attached copies of the mail headers for the duplicated messages I received on 5th July, one at 08:16 and the other at 08:24 - the differences are highlighted in yellow.
Perhaps this may be of use to you and Amazon in analysing what is happening.
There is one strange difference, with the last highlighted line towards the end of the header, "the forums of the Family Historian User Group http://www.fhug.org.uk" .
It is not immediately clear why these should be flagged as different, but careful checking shows that, on the 08: 24 message .org.uk is followed by a space, but on the 08:16 message it is not.

Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
I'm finding these days that using the New posts Quick link (https://www.fhug.org.uk/forum/search.ph ... d=newposts) is far more useful, especially as you can click the document icon I've highlighted which takes you to the first unread post in the topic.
The email does serve as reminder to look at the new posts list.

just fyi: two again this week (after being just one for a while)
Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
I also get two copies, though not every time.
Re: This week's active discussion topics in the FHUG Forums email
This week I received three emails - The first at 08:13, the second at 08:23 and the third at 08:34.
They are all being sent to the same email address. I did receive two emails a few weeks ago, but for the last couple of months I was receiving only one per week.

Everyone:
We know this is happening.
We have not been able to fix it.
We do not need any more reports.
Thank you.
