I run FH V7.0.22 on my main PC and a laptop. I have not used or updated my laptop for ages and FH is well out of date as regards updates but I've just tried to use FH on my laptop and I get a message saying "A problem has occurred" and to log in FH is asking me to log into my FH account to activate FH, it has not done this before. I enter my log in details but I get a message saying there has been an error and to log in again. Any help please.
TIA
Ron

This is probably raised with CP at http://support.calico-pie.com/open.php
P.S. Please update your FHUG profile to show you're using FH 7

Re: Log in
One possible cause is your Laptop is either running Windows 7 which is not supported for Family Historian 7, or Windows 8 without all the last Windows updates.
If you raise the issue, remember to include the Windows Version and service pack you have installed and the EXACT error message you are receiving and post to them using the email address you use for your account.

Many thanks Jane. Yes, it is a Windows 7 laptop. I did not know that FH no longer supported Windows 7. Like I said, it's been ages since I last used the laptop.

Re: Log in
Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft, i.e. there are no recent security updates for it, so to use it is extremely risky, unless it is never connected to the Internet.GenealogyPrinters wrote: ↑16 Nov 2023 09:15 Many thanks Jane.
