* Help decoding 1911 occupation

I've got quite good at decyphering handwriting on old records, but this one has me stumped. I'm trying to work out the occupation for Daisy Duffett on the 1911 census (see attached). So far I've worked out "Asst Manageress of" but it's the next, most critical, bit I can't fathom. On the 1901 census she is at home with her parents and no occupation given. She married in 1913 (to a newsagent from the Isle of Wight) and the occupation on her marriage certificate is blank. Her father was a brewer on the island. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks both, I can see that. Workrooms it is! Now just to work out what workrooms and what was being worked on. Had a quick look in trade directories, but they weren't much help. Maybe some clue will pop up at some time.

Thanks Maureen. I checked that too! It also doesn't help that her birth name was Hilda Daisy May and she seems to have been referred to as both Hilda and Daisy interchangeably! I'm convinced that this is the right person as she married in St Mark's Parish Church a couple of streets away. I think this one may remain a mystery. I've checked trade directories, newspapers, family documents, and official records on Ancestry and FindMyPast and not come up with anything. If anyone has any "lateral thinking" ideas please let me know.

And there's an "of" in the middle. Assistant Drapers of work rooms doesn't make sense.

" Assistant Manageress of workrooms", would be my deciphering of the text.

I suspect that Daisy Duffet is lodging with Jessie Louisa English and her siblings. For whatever reason, it would appear that the English children have lost their parents and as a source of extra income Daisy Duffet is lodging with them. From the age difference of 9 years between Daisy Duffet and Jessie Louisa English, I suspect that Daisy is Assistant Manageress of the dressmakers workrooms, where she and Jessie worked.

In the 1911 Census, my Grandmother was a Drapers Assistant and living in her employer's household. There was the Head (General Draper, including Millinery and Dressmaking) and his wife, along with 11 single women Assistants and 4 women Servants, employed looking after the household. The Head's 2 children are absent and would, I suspect, have left home.
