Displaying PDF documents in books

Post by Rhondalm »

Hello! I'm starting trying to create a book and the photos in Media are displaying but not the PDFs. Is there some sort of setting I need to change? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Welcome to the FHUG.

Unfortunately, only media image files of photos & documents (e.g. jpg, png, gif, tif) are ever displayed by FH itself.
Other types of media such as PDF and Word DOCX can only be viewed via an external editor/viewer.
Therefore, they cannot be displayed in Reports or Diagrams.

A popular solution is to convert PDF files that are only a few pages long into image files.
There are several free utilities that will perform that conversion.
e.g.
IrfanView which offers many other features, PDF To Image File Converter, and PDF Creator
