I've just seen a post on groups.io where a poster says:
"I have created a flag "DNA proven relative", that I have set to switch on an orange border in diagrams."
I thought - Oh good, I can control a Diagram Boxes colour dependant on Fact Flags.
So I looked into this but can't get it to work the way I'd hoped. I choose someone who's Birth Fact I had flagged as Tentative, then I went to my diagram and opened Diagram Options.
Then I went to Boxes and looked at Add Condition. I see that I can set a condition for Record Flags but not for Fact Flags. Is that correct?
The thing about Record Flags is that they aren't really visible on the Focus screen of the individual, so I decided to use Fact Flags instead, because a little icon appears against the Fact. (Unless I'm missing something).
So is what I'd hoped for not possible - to change a diagram box colour dependant on Fact Flag status?
Thanks.

Re: Make a diagram box colour dependant on a Fact Flag
The post on groups.io is referring to a Record Flag named "DNA proven relative" not a Fact Flag.
Neither Record Flags nor Fact Flags can be shown in the Focus Window.
Record Flags can be shown in the Main tab of the Property Box and also in the Records Window.
Use the Property Box cog Menu > Customize Property Box...
Untick Show most commonly-used items only.
Under Available Items select <Custom Item> and click > in middle to add the item to Main area for Individual.
Set the Item Name to the Record Flag name and tick Part 1 and set Label to Record Flag name.
Click <<Select and then [+] Flags and choose your Record Flag, and OK out.
In Diagram Options, the Boxes tab, Condition can test Fact Flags using an Expression.
Use <<Add Condition > Expression and <<Insert Data Ref... and open [+] Events , [+] Birth, [+] Flags and choose Tentative, then OK out and choose the box colour.

Excellent, thank you. Your final paragraph showed me how to do what I want.
Thanks also for an explanation of Record Flags.

Mike is correct and one of the best consultants I have found on these matters. I just thought I would mention that you can also apply various custom icons to Diagrams derived from Data or Flags in addition to box highlighting.

Thank you. I'm making my way through your video at the moment. It may be a little too much detail for me but I'm sure there will be ideas, here and there, that I can incorporate in my trees. FH has so many features - amazing really.

The video attempts to cover numerous possibilities, most users want a more simplistic approach.
