Inappropriate pop-up definiton

Post by LornaCraig »

Just noticed an oddity. In Common Image Problems, under Photo Orientation in Family Historian 7, the word fact has been linked to a pop-up defining an FH fact!

This isn't important, but (not knowing how these things are set up) it made me wonder whether there might be other words throughout the KB which have been automatically linked to pop-ups in the wrong context?

Yes, I have noticed a few out-of-context words like that, which in the necessary haste to establish the new KB have been overlooked, and will need weeding out with a fine-toothed comb (or some other mixed metaphor).

Thanks Lorna. We tried to avoid oddities like that either by rewording or excluding the offending word from the glossary checker but we didn't catch them all. I'll fix it tomorrow.

Here's another one, in Understanding Projects under Simon's Explanation of Projects.

In Fixing Dates and Date Phrases under Correcting Dates with “Search and Replace” I think the Event popup in bullet list entry "Ensure Search Scope: is All Records & Events/Attributes." is inappropriate in that context where it is referring to a plugin setting but others may disagree.

In Handling Uncategorised Data Fields under UDF Tags & Fact Names near the end of the table in the 2nd column the Address popup in Web Address is inappropriate.
