Is this a bug - 3.2 - Diagram with multiple spouse

Post by rfj1001 »

I have a female (Alice) who had a child(Mary) when she was unmarried  - so the father of Mary is shown as . Then Alice married (Arthur).

On the default tree diagram box is to the right of Alice, and Mary correctly shows as the child. To the left of Alice is Arthur's box.

I want to get the relationship to the left of Alice on the basis that it happened first. But as soon as I do it (by changing the order of the spouses in the Individual Record box) Mary is then incorrectly shown as the child of Arthur and .

Looking at the parentage links of Mary, it shows just the (correct) one - Alice and

Hope I've made myself clear. Any ideas?

I think its actually the way you are reading the diagram. This does not sound any different from the way it has always been.

Which Spouse layout setting are you using (diagram options)?
