Hello,
I recently got a new computer and moved my family tree using a full backup. Is there any way to recover my custom flags from the old computer? Should I refrain from making any edits to the tree until it's sorted?
Kind regards,
Rick

I'm not sure for flags (I don't use them), but for most customizations you need to do a backup of the FH settings on the old computer and restore them to FH on the new computer.
See Family Historian Copy and Migration Guide.
In particular the section Copying Program Settings.

I appreciate the help, Bill. But I'm specifically inquiring about the flags.

I understand, but have you tried to backup and restore your settings to see if that would get your flags back? It would also restore any other customizations that you have made to FH.

Flags are an intrinsic part of the Gedcom file. Can you confirm you are asking about flags? If you look on the all tab for a person are the flags not shown there. Are you actually talking about icons on diagrams based on flags not showing?
Did you follow all the instructions here Family Historian Copy and Migration Guide to move all your settings?

The permanent list of Flags available to all Projects whether used by any Individuals or not is held in the custom settings.
The diagram customisations for Icons are also in the custom settings.
For the third time, please follow the migration guide as advised.

It’s only the third time because you’re repeating the same advice without waiting for Rick to clarify exactly what he means...
