Free access to findmypast

Post by Gowermick »

Currently, Findmypast is allowing free access to their British and Irish records. Those who already have a subscribtion, will have it extended by three days automatically.
Good hunting :) :)

Nice to have the extra days but it doesn't really make up for it being grindingly slow, and occasionaly giving random results, at the moment!

Also Lost Cousins is free for the same period so you can check for matches on there too.

The three extra days for subscribers only applies to those with Worldwide subs, not Britain subs. Some people on another forum have been given the extension by sending an email complaint but others have been refused even when it has been pointed out to FMP that they have made an exception for some. In the past Britain subscribers haven't been given an extension but it is more than Ancestry give.
