Gravestone inscription "S.M."

Post by TimM » 29 May 2021 18:41

Just acquired a photo of a gravestone of a Clergyman and his wife near Penzance. The first characters of the inscription which appear above his name are the letters "S.M." Any ideas as to what they stand for or mean?

Possibly Sanctae Memoriae = in Holy memory
