I have just upgraded to FH v7 and, for the first time, am using Ancestral sources. I know I am a b it late to that particular party.
I normally create a Gedcom in FH and then upload it to my TNG website. Never had any issues.
However, I have created my first census entry using Ancestral Sources, and uploaded the Gedcom. I am now getting this on my TNG site. All the correct info has uploaded but a lot of characters have been added from somewhere. Has anyone else come across this and is there a solution? All other data relating to the individual concerned has uploaded correctly.

Re: Scrambled census data in TNG
That looks like a 'rich text' table.
Are you using the Export Gedcom File plugin in TNG export mode?
That will convert the 'rich text' fields to HTML codes that TNG likes.

Or if you prefer to use 'plain text' (which was the only option before FH7) then you can untick the first option on this options page:
https://ancestral.fhug.org.uk/webhelp/h ... /hs151.htm
But it sounds like Mike's plugin is the way to go as you'll end up with much more attractive census transcriptions (great work Mike!)

Mike, no I'm not but I will try that. is that plug in on the Calico Pie site?
Nick. Thank you. Despite using FH for nearly a decade I had not used your excellent bit of software. Mea culpa

Yes, the plugin is in the Plugin Store. In Tools > Plugins... use the Plugin Store... button.
I have not had time to update the Help & Advice pages yet (too many Plugins to update) but do follow the links to the TNG Output Format advice at plugins:help:export_gedcom_file:tng_the_next_generation|> Export Gedcom File ~ (TNG) The Next Generation.
Please post any problems in the Importing and Exporting Forum.
Also if you are unfamiliar with using Plugins see Family Historian Plugins in the new Knowledge Base.
Seems you are on a steep learning curve

Re: Scrambled census data in TNG
You could say that Mike. I hadn't had this issue with any of the past versions of FH. Obviously the templates, which are a great step forward, are a great help in minimising the amount of data entry particularly for censuses. TNG wasn't happy though
I have downloaded the plug in and am going to give it a go. Thank you for your hard work on it.
