Census Date Check

I have just run the Census Date Check in Ancestral Sources and it's come up with a short list of unrecognised items.

How do I find the individual facts so I can review them?

TIA Regards

David

They must all be Census Events with their Place ending with the Place-ending and their Date equal to the Original Date.

I think the best technique is to find the appropriate Place records and run the Where Used Record Links Plugin.

Find the Place Records
Use Tools > Work with Data > Places, tick Reverse Display Order on right, and click Last column heading on left.
That will sort on the Place endings and you can easily select all those that match the AS listing.
Now click View in Map > View in Map Window on the right, and click OK.

Where Used Record Links
Select all the Place records listed in the Map Window on the left.
Use Tools > Plugins to run the Where Used Record Links Plugin.
In the Result Set click on the Field Where Used column heading near centre to sort into Fact & Date order.
Scroll down to the Census events and compare their Dates with AS listed Original Date.
Double-click on any one Census event to open the Property Box with that fact highlighted.
With the Result Set still open repeat those double-clicks for each problem Census.

Thank you Mike, that technique worked a treat on the last two items shown in this screen capture:

I'm not sure how to handle the items where the place name is blank as shown. Do you have a solution?

Yes, use View > Standard Queries > All Events and click Event column heading to sort.by Event & Date.

Then scroll down to Census events for each of three Original Dates in turn to spot the 4 entries with no Place.
Double-click as before to open Property Box.

You may have been able to use this method to find the 5 England entries, especially with those year only dates.
I did not know how many various cases you had to deal with versus how many Census Events in total.

Thank you Mike, that worked very well. I like the way the FH had updated the results set once I had identified and entered the missing data.

Now to continue working thru the tutorials.
