Leave local multimedia on ';Merge/Compare File

In Individual and Source I prefer to use 'Local Multimedia Object'.
The problem occurs when I use the Merge/Compare Files... command,
which converts all Local multimedia in Multimedia Records, both in current file and merged gedcom file.
How can I make Family Historian leave LOCAL all multimedia when two gedcom files are merged?
Using FH 4.1.3
Thanks

I have repeated the same sort of Merge in FH V5, with the same outcome.
IMO it is a fault in FH, and should be reported to them.
I am not aware of any fix or workaround.
In the Merge File dialogue it clearly says Keep against the Local Multimedia Objects.
In the Merge Results Dialogue it lists the original number of Multimedia Records under MERGED, and none under NEW.
Yet a NEW Multimedia Record is created from each Local Multimedia Object.
Moreover, the NEW Multimedia Records are malformed:
The Type is Other Multimedia instead of Picture.
The Format and File fields have two instances: the 1st blank, and the 2nd with a copy of the original Local Multimedia Object fields.
The Keywords and Note fields are blank.
However, these anomalies are corrected the next time the Project is opened.
