Excel Spreadsheet Layout

Post by rodit »

This has nothing to do with FH, but I am looking for help to rectify a problem I have somehow created in Excel.
I am attaching 2 Snips, one shows the top of a spreadsheet as it should be with A1 circled The second shows mine with without this Row. What I have done, I don't know and it will probably be something so obvious.
Thanks in advance
Roger

Looks like maybe the Formula Bar has been turned off.

I don't know what version of Excel you are using, but in Excel 2010 which is the version I have, I would try going to the View tab, and in the Show section I would select Formula Bar if it is not already selected. If it is already selected, I would de-select it and then select it again. In later versions it is probably similar to this.

As Bill says it is the Formula Bar that has been turned off. On my version you need to go to View and tick the Formula Bar box as per below.

Thanks, gents. I found it just after posting yesterday. I have Excel 2019 and the solution is as you both suggested.
Thanks again
