Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
Is there a way to add two brothers as the root people on a Pedigree Chart? I ask as my Grandsons are twins and I was trying to find a way of printing a pedigree chart that had both of them on it.

I don't think you can do that with the Charts > Pedigree Chart...
However, a Pedigree Chart is only an Ancestor Diagram in a slightly different layout.
So, an Ancestor & Descendant Diagram rooted on your grandsons' parents should produce what you want.
i.e. In the Focus Window select the horizontal blue marriage bar under that couple and select the A & S Diagram.
All the Ancestor boxes will effectively be a Pedigree Chart and the twins will be underneath.
The Diagram can be changed to Left-right Orientation like the Pedigree Chart and the Text Scheme and Box colours customised as necessary and saved as a Custom Diagram Type or a Family Historian Chart.

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
I am not sure whether one can do this in fh but I have done it in Tree Draw software.
I made a copy of the Project. Using the copy project, I created a "dummy" parent. Then I attached two people (your twins) as children of the dummy. I created a descendants chart for the dummy and then deleted the "dummy" from the top of the tree. You may need to delete any joining lines too.
I needed to do this to explain a complicated situation in which the descendents of two step sibblings, later married each other.

Evelyn, it is not clear how that helps in this case where the Pedigree Chart is of Ancestors not Descendants.

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
Apologies. But could one not do the same by adding (and then deleting) a dummy child instead of a dummy parent?
Apparently not in fh, as it seems that fh wont let me marry two sibblings.
I dont create trees using fh (I use Treedraw software) and you are the expert Mike, but I thought one could add anyone one wanted to an fh chart diagram?

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
But GeneSniper does not need a dummy child because the twin grand-children already exist.
FH will allow you to marry siblings. I have just done it. You must use the Property Box or Focus Window, not a Diagram.
FH Diagrams limit what relationships you can add...
Ancestor Diagrams only allow direct line parents and spouses to be added.
Descendant Diagrams only allow direct line children and spouses to be added.
It is only All Relative Diagrams that allow most relationships to be added.

Just to clarify: Ancestor diagrams only allow direct ancestors to be added. And any spouse who is not themselves a direct ancestor cannot be added.Ancestor Diagrams only allow direct line parents and spouses to be added.

I wanted a single dummy person at the bottom. One needs a single person as the root of any tree.
But once you have the tree you can deleted them from the diagram.

Evelyn,
It is not possible to delete/hide the diagram root from the diagram in FH.

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
I gave the twins a child called West Twins Tree. Then one doesnt have to delete the Dummy; it acts as a title.. But I still get all the ancestors of the twins duplicated, So need to add some joining lines and delete others.
I am rather surprised as I had thought fh made Treedraw redundant.
Sorry to have wasted your time. Just fiddling around with trees.

Mike T's A&D chart solution works for me. I had just thought there would have been a way to have a pedigree chart with the children as the root and I was missing a simple way to do it.

Could you create a new child of the twins' parents with the name A and B Smith, and produce a pedigree chart for it?

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
Roger, that is a kind of neat trick, but that joint child 'A and B Smith' would need possibly two Marriage and Death dates to provide the facts needed in the Pedigree Chart, and that would be a challenge

Re: Two people as Pedigree Chart Root Person
I like it - twins would have the same date and place of birth of course, so it's a perfect workaround for the scenario William posed. I would do it on a copy of the project to avoid issues with other charts and reports being inaccurate.
