Me again, with another nitpicky question.
I have discovered that, for the nonce, I find it easier to use Generic sources (mostly time - I just don't have enough of it to get into the nitty gritty of editing templates). That said, I noticed an oddity in the footnote from a Generic Source I created last night.
The Repository is Deceased Online, which I've added in my FH file, including the url. So, now my Footnote ends thusly:
Deceased Online, Web: http://www.deceasedonline.com, .
Note the comma at the end of the url, followed by a space and then a period.
I can't tell what I've done wrong - why is it doing that?
Or is it a bug?
See attached screencaps of the Citation window - the second one is the end of the Where Within field - wish it could be expanded like the Note one so it can be seen all at once.
Thanks for any insight!
Teresa

Can you post a screenshot of your settings in Tools>Preferences>Sources>Generic Source Formats>Footnote, with the View Format option ticked so that we can see the exact format template?

Thanks but can you tick the View Format button, as I mentioned previously, so we can see the exact layout? It might reveal a stray comma or bracket other formatting error.
(It's late now in the UK so I won't be able to look at it until tomorrow)

Re: Odd behaviour in footnote from Generic source...
Hi Lorna,
Sorry for missing that key point. By going and doing that, however, I figured out how to fix the issue - there was an extra code that I didn't need, so I just deleted it and the problem resolved itself. Of course, I realize I forgot to note what that piece of code was, but I can deal with that later.
Thanks for the tip!!

Teresa, regarding your other complaint about the Where Within Source field edit box you aren't alone, so please go and Vote for Wish List entry Ref 545 Edit box for short Text fields that is over 5 years old!
