* V7 icons in diagrams ~ how to add them
Re: V7 icons in diagrams ~ how to add them
I’m back to family history after months doing other things and although I now have icons for birth, baptisms, marriage and death, after help on here, I must have the wrong expression for burial. I would be grateful for your help please. I have:
=IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>_TYPE%=“Parish Register”)
It does not come up with a box to say that it is invalid, but no icon appears.
I have also checked other expressions I found from others, but the box appears to say that they are invalid expressions.
It is the only citation, so not that it needs moving to the top.
Please can someone offer me advice? Thank you.

The Expression looks fine.
But is the Source record Title exactly Parish Register the same as the Source records for Baptisms and Marriages?
Are you sure you have selected an Icon in the Box Features for this Condition?

Yes, Parish Register is the same for baptisms and marriages.
I selected a skull icon from the same list as the others and it shows up in the box under the list of expressions.

OK, that sounds good. Let's try some detective work...
Open a Diagram that has the Box Burial Condition defined and includes the person who has the Burial Citation.
Double-click that person's box to display their Property Box.
Click the yellow scroll Show Sources icon to display the yellow Sources For window.
If the Property Box Main tab includes Burial details then click the Buried Date.
Otherwise, open the Facts tab and select the Burial event there.
The yellow Sources For pane should say Burial* and list the Citation (Text: Source Record) as Parish Register.
Is that correct?

Did you mean
=IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>_TYPE%=“Parish Register”) or
=IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>_TITL%=“Parish Register”) ?
=IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>_TYPE%=“Parish Register”) or
=IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>_TITL%=“Parish Register”) ?

Lorna, JayBee has used SOUR>TITL consistently throughout for all Box Conditions.
BTW: SOUR>_TITL is invalid! No underscore is required.

Sorry the underscore was a typo.
But in the post earlier today JayBee used _TYPE and, as you say, they have previously used TITL.

You are correct. I did not spot that
JayBee, that is probably your problem, so change _TYPE to TITL

I have tried both TYPE and TITL.

In that case, ensure the Expression is =IsTrue(%INDI.BURI.SOUR>TITL%=“Parish Register”) and undertake the detective work I suggested earlier.

Thank you for all your help. The problem was the underscore. Not sure why I put it there in the first place. I guess I copied it from somewhere. It is now sorted. Many thanks tatewise.
