Presumably HTML/XML tags, as this would give the required formatting without making the output excessively complex or opaque. I thoroughly endorse the "it will be released when it is ready, and not before" approach taken by both Family Historian 7 and RootsMagic 8. Much better to have the product working properly than chase an artificial deadline.If you load the file into another program without exporting, the notes will simply have some "codes" in, but the text is still readable

I saw Version 7 at RootsTech and wandered over for a proper look thinking 'not more people trying to make money out of me'. It is mind-blowingly good and I can't wait to get my hands on it
