Duplicate Spouse Records

After a pleasant hour of entering ancestor census records with Ancestral Sources, I seem to have ended up with an ancestor, William Chandler, with a spouse Louisa Newton and a child, George. A second spouse tab for William contains another Louisa Newton with William and Louisa having 12 children, (none of which includes George.) If I go to Louisa's record I now see two spouse tabs, each for husband William, one of which has the single child, George, and the other of which has the 12 children (none of which includes George.)

I can't quite work out how this happened, but I want to get to a position where FH contains a couple, William Chandler and Louise Newton, with thirteen children, including George!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
thanks

I suspect that when using AS you used Add Spouse to create Louisa Newton for both Census entries.
For the second Census you should have selected the existing Spouse of William Chandler.

To rectify matters you need to merge the two Family records for William and Louisa.
So in the Records Window on the Families tab sorted in Family Records order select the two adjacent entries for ...of William, CHANDLER and Louisa NEWTON, use Edit > Merge/Compare Records ensuring all items are suitably merged.
You are advised to create a GEDCOM Small Backup beforehand just in case!

Mike: thanks as always for your prompt and helpful reply. I'd not previously noticed the Families tab so that's most interesting. You are indeed a FHUG Megastar!
