Hi,
Is there anywhere to put a note on a Named List other than in the drop-down Properties?
I would like to be able to see it when I open the Named List pane.
It's a note on the whole list (i.e. why it's there, and what I'm trying to do with the records in it, etc.) so can't put it in individual records.
It's probably simple, but I can't find how to do it.
Thanks
joldies

Re: Named list note
The only way to show the List Note on a Named List is via its right-click List Properties option, or via the Publish > Miscellaneous Reports > List Report command.
The best I can suggest is a very long List Name that describes the purpose.

Thank you.
I'm afraid it would have to be a very long name! It rambles on about all sorts.
Oh well, I'll just have to remember to use the Properties to check where I've put things.

Re: Named list note
Don't forget any sort of records can be added to a Named list so why not create a Note record as a "place holder" with your "discussion" in the Named List note and add it to the top.
In my To at a Place List I add the Repository record to the list and add my general thoughts to the Note in the List for that.

I hadn't thought of that. Thanks Jane, it works well.

I've updated glossary:named_lists|> Named Lists especially under a new Tips and Tricks section.
