Notes Query

Post by Baboon281 » 18 Jan 2019 20:01

I have had a look through the knowledge base and cant really find exactly what I am looking for, I may have missed a previous post so I apologise. Is there a plug in or query that I can use to produce a list including the following columns
Name
Individual ID
Notes (from the notes tab on the property box)
Thanks

It rather depends on which Notes in the Notes tab you want listed.
There are at least 4 types of Note listed there:
  1. Blue bullet = Individual record Note as shown on Main tab
  2. Red bullet = Family record Note shared with a Spouse
  3. Yellow folder icon = Linked Note record
  4. Facts calendar icon = Any Note field associated with a Fact as shown on Facts tab
The first three are fairly easy with a Query assuming only a handful of Spouses or linked Note records per Individual.

The first two are available using Publish > Miscellaneous Reports > Individual Record Notes.

More than the above will need a Plugin.

There is already a plugin which lists all four types of note for a selected individual: Notes List for Individual by Peter Richmond, 2012. This is not quite what you want, but perhaps could be the basis for one which lists notes for multiple individuals.

Thank you. I’ll have a look at the suggestion. I’m not very good with query so may have to come back begging again.
