* opening screen hidden Navigation Bar

When opening my project, or the sample project from the project window, as shown on page 4 of "Getting the Most from Family Historian", the narrow column showing the focus and records icons is missing. I am not a new user and it used to be there! I can access the records window by other means and FH appears to be working fine but I am mystified as to where this column has gone and how do I get it back? Thank you. Think I must have done something stupid.

On the View Menu select "Navigation Bar" this option "toggles" the bar.
