Hi
I am using FH 6.
Just been grave hunting in Brompton Cemetery (lots of long grass) and took photos of grave sites.
When I tried to insert a photo to the relevant person via media it turned sideways on not upright. I opened Edit Media item but there is no facility to rotate so I am stuck !
Could someone please help as I am totally at a loss on how I can correct it.
Many thank
John

Re: Turnng photo around
Hi John,
I had exactly the same problem yesterday when my sister in law sent me a photo. I looked at the KB which Mike sent but I am not familiar with the programs referred to so I opened the phot in "Paint" and corrected it there and then attached it to FH. It worked fine.
Hope it helps if you don't have the links mentioned.
Ann

Ann, yes Paint will work, but you should have been able to use the Windows File Explorer solution.

Yes Mike, but I don't know what Windows File Explorer is. As you know from having to explain the very basics to me I'm not technical. I just thought if John was not technical either "Paint" is I think there on any Windows set up. It was a coincidence that I had the same problem at the same time. Is there any reason why in the edit window you just can't rotate an image?

Re: Turnng photo around
Windows File Explorer, or Windows Explorer as it use to be called, is just the program that displays all the files and folders on your computer.
You get to it it either by opening the program directly, or clicking on the My Computer icon.

Re: Turnng photo around
Yes, Windows File Explorer has a yellow folder icon and displays your files in Documents, Pictures, etc.
You cannot perform any kind of photo editing in FH; not rotating, red-eye correction, or anything else.
So must always use an external photo editor.
There is a Wish List entry to support auto-rotation you can vote for.
