* When cousins marry??
When cousins marry??
Hi, I recently purchased FTM 6 and have begun entering data. I have come up against a massive stumbling block. My husband is also my 1st cousin once removed. I am stumped as to how to enter our marriage without us being entered as two separate people from the main family tree. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Re: When cousins marry??
As you are both shown in the tree, when you enter your marriage, you enter/pick your husband from the existing individuals, NOT as a new Individual.
NB I assume you meant FH6, rather than FTM6

Thank you Gowermick, I will try that. I did mean FTM (Family Tree Maker 6) the Help link led me to this forum site.

That is weird! However, you do shown on your profile you are using Family Historian Version 6, so are you perhaps using both, or is your profile incorrect?

Re: When cousins marry??
It has got to be Family Historian Version 6 because Family Tree Maker has no Version 6 as currently it is Version 2017.
Also in an All Relatives tree Diagram when cousins are related two ways, there often are two boxes shown for one person to represent their two different positions in the family tree relationships. BUT if you double-click to open their Property Box the details will be identical and have the same Record Id number shown in [square brackets] within the caption at the top.
