Mike,

I learned about this plugin now. So nice! Simple and elegant. Thank you!

But, of course, if you've put it out there for the users, they will have change requests, won't they?

Would it be difficult to add the ability to edit the Title to the creation dialog?

No Shosh, not too difficult, but why not just edit the Media record afterwards.

You will probably want to add other details to Media record anyway, such as a Date and Notes.

There is no point replicating the Media Property Box in the Plugin GUI.

Mike,

The main field that I find myself editing (basically every time I add a link) is the Title.

For most links, I'm not so interested in the date and/or notes.

I agree, it's not so difficult to edit the media record afterwards to fix the title. It's just more work.

At least at the moment, I see myself mostly using "URL media records" to link to Evernote so that all the stuff I've collected doesn't get lost or forgotten.

I'm also considering using it to record the links to records I've found on Ancestry, FamilySearch, etc, but I haven't decided about that yet. I'm leaning very heavily towards storing the links to images I've found on FamilySearch microfilms. It makes sense to me to store a link to something that I may have spent several hours finding.

I know that you're quite busy and I understand if you put this low on your list (if at all). I really appreciate the plugin as is; being able to add the url and define the title in one step would be nice to have.

Try ATTACHMENTS Add Media URL Shortcut Version 1.0.1 Date 08 Jan 2016.
[ ATTACHMENT deleted as V1.1 is now published in Plugin Store. ]

This version allows a Title to be entered, but if left blank will use the URL as before.
